Art Test for Unreal 3 Engine - The following renders are from an art test I completed for a Chicago area game company. They're using the Unreal 3 engine and they needed samples that would feature specular highlights and normal maps. These were done in Maya and textured in photoshop. The models have diffuse, specular, and normal map textures at 1024x1024. The normal maps were created with the NVIDIA normal map plugin for photoshop. Since the version of Maya I was using didn't support normal maps natively, I modified the shader used in the Killeroo demo on the net, and that seemed to work nicely.

Personal Project - This render is from a personal project. I've finished modelling it and will complete the textures soon. I really enjoy playing Unreal Tournament 2004, specifically the onslaught mode. The combination of goals and vehicles in an multiplayer game is something I find to be much better than the standard run and gun. The physics model of UT 2004 also adds to the game, by making the vehicles more of a challenged to manuever on the terrain. Plus, I get a big thrill running over the AI players and hearing "WICKED SICK". My intention is to create a vehicle pack that can be used in onslaught levels. The model was created in 3dsmax.
