The Basilica Wedding View from University building
We are updating from a kiosk in the Eszterazy University. It was rainy yesterday when we arrived, now it is just cold, but not too bad. Its kinda like Michigan. We visited the astronomical museum, where they have a camera obscure. The light in the top of the tower is collected by a periscope and reflected onto a white table, making an image. It was really spooky. In Eger there are also beautiful baroque style churches, built on ruins after the Turks were defeated. Last night, we saw a wedding in one of them and were shocked when the organ thundered behind us announcing the end of the ceremony. We will post photos as soon as we can. Now we will finish our walking tour and go taste some wines. -Take care, Mark and Laurie
