Hof
Nov 1, 2004 | So we spent the night in a town called Hof after a small (3 hour opposite direction) train mishap. We got off the train in a town called Rothenbürg, where there was nothing but a small cement shack and us (oh and also a dairy farm). We walked around in the dark until we figured out that something was wrong, namely two extra dots above the u. Some teenagers who happened by confirmed our mistake, they said it happens all the time. We joined them on the next train back to Hof, a more populated village north of Nürnberg. It was all OK, we found a greek hotel across from the train station where we were given Ouzo and a nice room.
In the morning we started over and ended up in the correct place...Rothenburg. We never knew how much a difference two dots could make.
